Star Wars: Squadrons

Star Wars Squadrons delivers on VR cockpit fantasy with excellent graphics and diverse ship mechanics, but suffers from weak narrative and early-game balance issues. Multiplayer shines in fleet battles though limited modes and small maps constrain engagement.

A starfighter combat game whose excellent flight model, deep ship loadouts, and abundant control and graphical options are the clear high points, with fun, occasionally spectacular dogfights. The single-player campaign is short, non-replayable, and saddled with weak characters, while broken HOTAS support and a thin PvP offering of just two 5v5 modes wear out quickly. It barely earns a recommendation but feels disappointing and in need of more content and patching.
