Biggest most creative ambitious Mario ever. Transformative sandbox experience with innovative capture mechanic.
An absolute must-buy and arguably the best Mario game yet, blowing away expectations from start to finish with consistently fresh platforming, exploration, and capture mechanics across wildly varied worlds. The gorgeous visuals and standout soundtrack elevate it further, packed with loving callbacks across 30 years of Mario history. The main story is predictably basic (Bowser kidnaps Peach) and the campaign runs fairly easy and a touch short, though abundant post-game content adds plenty of replay value.
10/10 return to 3D Mario roots with diverse kingdoms, gorgeous 1080p/60fps visuals and Cappy mechanics; mediocre co-op is the only caveat.
Exceptional platformer that lives up to the hype with magical kingdom design and innovative capture mechanics.
