Super Meat Boy Forever

Our analysis

A really good but not great sequel whose shift to a constantly-running, auto-runner design will divide fans, even though it still captures Super Meat Boy's blend of frustration and fun. The animated story segments are a joy and the boss fights are incredible, but procedural chunk-based level generation introduces bugs and sacrifices the satisfaction of handcrafted stages. Occasional heavy frame drops and the lack of multiplayer are further letdowns.
