Powerful narrative on grief paired with dance-like combat and resonant boss fights; marred by a few frustrating chase sequences.

Our analysis

A well-made, confident Metroid Vania adventure with a compelling personal story about grief, solid platforming mechanics, and gorgeous visuals inspired by Bantu mythology. While it doesn't reinvent the genre and exploration rewards can be underwhelming, the strong narrative, voice acting, and fluid combat make it an enjoyable and moving experience.
