The Alliance Alive

This remaster of the 3DS JRPG offers a decent, briskly paced plot and strong, distinct visuals across its five realms, but thinly developed characters make it hard to care about anyone. The deceptively complex formation-and-class battle system is undermined by encounters so easy that the depth rarely matters, and weak audio plus a steep price weaken the package.
