Our analysis

The Church in the Darkness makes repeated stealth infiltrations engaging through new equipment, characters, and branching outcomes. Its intriguing sandbox is enjoyable, but repetitive actions and sluggish controls need refinement.

Our analysis

A Jonestown-inspired isometric stealth action game with strong world-building and a palpably eerie atmosphere built from the contrast between the church leaders' preaching and the congregation's private notes. Randomized leader personalities and multiple endings add replayability, and the excellent voice acting for Isaac and Rebecca anchors the experience. The setting looks bland with little variation and forgettable NPC models, but the stealth gameplay remains engaging across repeated playthroughs.
