Our analysis
The Perfect Pencil is a rare Metroidvania that combines punchy, rhythmic combat with dense, rewarding exploration and an atmospheric narrative that elevates the experience despite its slow-burn pacing. Its combat, exploration, and atmosphere are exceptional, though the slow start and lack of fast travel may not appeal to all players.
