A fantastic high-speed, cyberpunk retro shooter that draws on Doom, Quake and Duke Nukem while adding fresh ideas like the sliding chainsaw leg, character augments, and vehicle sequences. Inventive nonlinear level design, chunky weapons and a great soundtrack make it one of the best FPS options on Switch in spirit. The lack of gyro aiming, unbindable sensitivity, a 30fps cap and flamethrower slowdown are real drawbacks on this platform.

  • GmanLives😐 mixed

GggmanLives praises Turbo Overkill as one of the year's most fun shooters, successfully differentiating itself from crowded indie throwback shooters through creative mechanics like the chainsaw leg and fast-paced combat, though it needs some balancing adjustments while in early access.

  • Civvie 11😐 mixed

An exceptional retro-style FPS that exceeds expectations with creative gameplay mechanics, excellent weapon variety and upgrades, and impressive production quality for a small team. While the game may be slightly too long, it stands as one of the most over-the-top and satisfying shooters in recent memory.
