Our analysis

A triumphant full-force return for the series after years away, with fully destructible environments and a fast, chaotic combat sandbox. The deliriously over-the-top bosses and absurd final-boss gauntlet are a highlight, and the online multiplayer is singled out as exceptional thanks to its cat-and-mouse power-up dynamic that rewards reckless, stunt-heavy play. A welcome change of pace and an easy standout.
