Our analysis

A cheap, ridiculously addictive roguelite where you only control movement while weapons auto-fire, snowballing into overwhelming screen-filling power as you level up crosses, holy water and other upgrades across runs. The minimal-input design makes it accessible and endlessly replayable, with persistent gold-based progression carrying between attempts. An easy recommendation and remarkable value for the money.

Our analysis

An incredibly addictive, easy-to-pick-up survival roguelite that makes a simplistic premise deeply engaging. Standout strengths are its proper meta progression (passive upgrades, unlockable characters) that edge it ahead of peers like Brotato, a huge variety of enemies and over a hundred unlockable items, and a clever, well-balanced local co-op mode. The deliberately old-school visuals are divisive and repetition is inherent to the genre, but it runs smoothly at 60fps and offers outstanding value.

    Our analysis

Adam initially dismissed Vampire Survivors as outdated Gauntlet-style gameplay but has completely reversed his position after playing the Switch version. The game's depth with character unlocks, weapon evolutions, secret mechanics, and the addictive loop of 'just one more run' won him over. It's a phenomenal game that rewards long-form engagement and discovery.
