Where the Heart Leads

Our analysis

A gorgeous narrative adventure that quickly draws you into laboring over impactful, branching life choices for protagonist Witt Anderson across three stages of his life. The wonderfully cozy, abstract small-town atmosphere makes outrageous actions feel reasonable and forges an intimate connection to the cast, building to a satisfying, emotional payoff. The chief drawback is restrictive camera movement that occasionally yields awkward, obstructive views of the lovely setting.
