An old-school 90s-style first-person shooter on a heavily modified Quake engine that hardcore retro-FPS fans may appreciate but that doesn't fully come together on Switch. Impressive large hub-world design, satisfying 90s weapon sound effects, and a strong soundtrack are positives. Undercut by imprecise shooting, a 30fps cap that drops further in busy areas, an awkward gyro implementation, ludicrous difficulty, overly long stages, and a frustrating soul-based save system.
A standout 90s-style throwback shooter built on the Quake engine, delivering fast circle-strafing combat across two excellently crafted early-access levels packed with secrets and traps. The gunplay feels awesome, the arsenal (nail gun, double-barrel shotgun, toxic flak cannon) and sound design are great, and fans of Quake or Doom will love it. Downsides are buggy enemy pathing through doorways and it being a bit too easy, both expected to improve before full release.
