5 of 5Nintendo Life rates it 6/10. Charming and lovely cozy platformer perfect for Sunday relaxation, but reviewer hopes Nintendo adds co-op mode or a challenge mode later because the difficulty curve is too low for serious replay value.
A whimsical, laid-back side-scroller built around exploration, where venturing into books uncovers new things that get added to your pages. The vibrant, hand-painted storybook art and relaxing music make it a pleasant palate-cleanser between heavier games, with Yoshi's familiar egg and gliding abilities intact and a fail-safe design where you never seem to die. Downsides are confusing controls amid busy on-screen action and a somewhat repetitive structure, but it remains a recommendable, enjoyable change of pace.
A good game focused on curiosity and exploration with no combat or fail states. Less traditional compared to other Yoshi games but controls familiarly.
An entirely focused and uncompromising game that's well-suited for its intended audience, representing admirable design clarity in the broader industry landscape.
A charming and innovative platformer that fundamentally rethinks the genre with exploratory puzzle design and exceptional attention to detail, but fails its target audience due to excessive untranslated English text and unclear objectives.
