Our analysis
A wonderful remaster of the strategy-RPG that started the series, offering deep, complex tactical combat with the addictive Item World and endless grinding for those who love the genre. Updated visuals and quality-of-life touches modernize it, and the Switch suits its bite-sized play style well. The main drawbacks are a steep $49.99 price and the fact that series veterans who own Disgaea 5 may want to wait for a sale.
