Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince

An incredibly fun and addictive monster-collector that takes on Pokemon with a standout synthesis system letting you breed and combine traits for total squad flexibility, plus a clever shifting-seasons mechanic that keeps environments fresh. The story is scrappy, the world feels lifeless in places, performance dips below 30fps, and the progression-affecting DLC is a sore point. Light on traditional RPG depth, but for pure collecting and training it's hard to put down.
