The new best Nintendo football game and a genuine relief after years of barebones legacy-edition ports, arriving with full feature parity to the PS5 and Xbox versions, including new gameplay presets, an improved manager career with live challenges, and Ultimate Team's tournaments and gauntlet mode. On-pitch play feels great and responsive in handheld. The chief drawbacks are a 30fps frame rate, a clunky and occasionally freezing Ultimate Team UI, and a small isolated player pool with no shared transfer market or crossplay.
