Our analysis

Fun open-world destruction sandbox with sloppy design and weak AI, but freedom to cause chaos makes it enjoyable.

Our analysis
Mercenaries 2 failed to improve upon its predecessor despite expanded scope and better gunplay. Tedious mechanics, broken progression systems, and poor design execution undermined the emergent gameplay that made the original great, leaving it an unfinished and disappointing sequel that still manages to be entertaining.
