Microsoft Flight Simulator

Our analysis

A phenomenal flight simulator that uses Bing maps to let you fly detailed aircraft anywhere on Earth with live weather, day-night cycles and air traffic, plus deeply customizable assists; frame drops over cities, a long download and a required Xbox account hold it back.

Our analysis

A stunning reimagining that streams real-world data to recreate the entire planet, delivering jaw-dropping "Google Earth" moments alongside convincing sound design and deeply immersive flying. Flexible options let you tune assists from casual fun to hardcore realism, and it can be both thrilling and relaxing. Buyers should know it is true to its roots as a simulator platform where you make your own fun, and the load times are punishingly long.
