Our analysis

Need for Speed 2015's cars look great and driving through the rain-soaked town is enjoyable, but terrible music, cringey FMV, frame drops, an always-online design with no pause, cockpit view, manual transmission or wheel support, and heavy rubber-banding AI drag it down.

Our analysis

The 2015 Need for Speed reboot gets car customization and visuals right, but its cringe-worthy story, empty, always-dark city and always-online requirement leave it boring after a few hours. Definitely not worth a buy at full price; only on sale or second-hand if at all.

Our analysis

Jake is torn on the 2015 Need for Speed reboot. He likes the gorgeous visuals, the deep car customization and much of the racing. But the always-online default mode, corny FMV cutscenes and frame-rate drops hold it back, so he suggests renting it or waiting for a lower price.
