5 of 5A frustrating mix of highs and lows: the cars look great when still or at speed, each vehicle handles distinctly, and the core driving across the rain-soaked town is genuinely enjoyable. But it's dragged down by terrible music, cringeworthy unskippable FMV cutscenes, persistent frame drops, always-online design with no real offline play, no pause, no cockpit view or manual transmission, and egregious rubber-banding AI that kills the racing fun. Wait for a deep sale or rent at best.
Very 50/50. Great racing, customization, and visuals but hampered by online-only mode and annoying features.
Decent driving mechanics buried under tedious card-based progression with microtransactions; pay-to-win design.
Excels with immersive cockpit view, impressive physics, 72 cars, intelligent AI. Missing story mode, no police chases, broken progression remove franchise soul.
