A confident, blood-soaked follow-up that turns the mania up to eleven, swapping the original's deliberately tedious part-time jobs for genuinely fun 8-bit minigames and a streamlined city menu. It loses some of the first game's satirical edge and feels a touch more generic in narrative, but makes up for it with fantastic pacing, ingenious boss assassins, and a stellar Switch port. Two thumbs up.
Unabashedly hardcore Wii with quirky personality. NES homages and cat-management sidetracks add depth despite less fluid combat.
