Rage

A flawed but enjoyable post-apocalyptic shooter with a forgettable, far-fetched story, throwaway characters, and a repetitive structure built almost entirely on fetch and clear-out quests. The gunplay carries it: weapons feel heavy and meaty, the varied ammo types reward smart preparation before missions, and the strong level design plus tense scavenging make looting genuinely satisfying. Combat dumbing-down (spammable bandages, easy self-revives) hurts the challenge on normal, but at its budget price it is a worthwhile pickup.
