• Scott The Woz😐 mixed

  Our analysis

Scott appreciates Sonic CD's ambitious ideas like time travel mechanics and the hand-drawn animation, but feels the execution is fundamentally flawed with overly busy art design, poorly-designed maze-like levels, and conflicting mechanics that undermine the core experience.

• The Completionist👍 positive

  Our analysis

Sonic CD was a blast to complete, with inventive level design, enjoyable exploration, and time travel that makes it feel distinct from other 2D Sonic games. Both soundtracks grew on him, with the Japanese music his favorite.
