Hazelight's most ambitious and inventive co-op adventure, it builds on It Takes Two's snappy platforming while piling on dozens of fresh, asymmetric mechanics that never run out of steam across its roughly 10-hour run. The fantasy-versus-sci-fi premise, optional side stories, and strong character writing keep the pace varied and surprising, capped by a dazzling finale. Notably more demanding than its predecessor, but it stands as one of the most joyful co-op games to date.
