Unconventional rail shooter showcasing Wii U gamepad. Innovative but confusing controls.
A deeply frustrating entry whose dual-screen motion controls force you to split attention between two displays, making aiming and navigation a constant chore rather than fun. The forced gyro bosses and tacked-on vehicle sections drag, and stripped of its two new ideas it amounts to a lesser, unambitious retread of Star Fox 64 with no battle mode.
NintendoLife: 8/10 — absolute standout despite sacrificing graphics for performance; the Star Fox 64 sequel weve been waiting for.
