Our analysis

This Switch port is the definitive way to relive the podracing classic, running at a smooth 60fps and higher resolution with the iconic John Williams soundtrack and exhilarating sense of speed intact. Awkward, non-remappable controls and a counterintuitive prize system hold it back, and the lack of online multiplayer plus limited content leave little replay value. Enjoyable but heavily nostalgia-driven, with cheat codes adding extra fun.
