Sundered: Eldritch Edition

Our analysis

A solid Metroidvania with roguelike touches and well-paced skill progression that keeps you from feeling stuck, anchored by grandiose, escalating boss fights with rousing music. The hand-drawn art and animation impress, but the procedurally generated caverns recycle a small handful of layouts, enemy variety is thin with recolors hard to distinguish from backgrounds, and the resist-or-embrace choices only branch the ending. A worthy pickup for genre fans, if not the cream of the crop.
