5 of 5Motion controls dont consistently deliver 1-to-1 precision. Excessive cutscenes bog down pacing.
A masterfully remastered classic with refined motion controls, quality-of-life improvements, and smooth 60fps gameplay that finally realizes the game's full potential.
A fun action-adventure remaster with arguably the best story in the series, a likeable cast, fantastic dungeons, and inventive items like the beetle, all wrapped in a gorgeous cell-shaded art style now running crisply at 60fps. The newly added button controls make it the most accessible and comfortable version yet, alleviating the divisive forced motion controls, though the heavily linear, segmented world design takes away from the living-world feel of other entries. Value is the sticking point: it is a 10-year-old game with little new content, and locking fast travel behind an amiibo disappoints.
Zero Punctuation: worst Zelda Yahtzee has played - terrible motion controls, repetitive dungeons, annoying companion, padding.

“A visually beautiful Zelda game with satisfying motion-control combat and fascinating dungeons, but severely hampered by bloated structure, excessive backtracking, and a story that feels longer than it needs to be.”
