Competent Dark Souls-inspired sci-fi RPG with unique limb-targeting combat but underdeveloped story.
Our analysis
A souls-like with some of the best combat in any third-person action game, anchored by a brilliant body-targeting and limb-amputation system that lets you choose loot by hacking it off enemies. Its industrial setting is excellent and visually congruent, though it lacks variety across enemies and areas, and the story is forgettable. The crippling weakness is difficulty scaling that strips out low-risk fights and forces players to run past enemies, undermined further by mostly unmemorable bosses.
