Total War: Rome II

A beloved strategy franchise entry crippled at release by broken battlefield and campaign AI, stripped-out features, and bare-bones multiplayer that desyncs. Arbitrary capture flags and instant-breaking formations gut the tactical depth, and aggressive DLC carving out factions like Sparta compounds the frustration. The strong core concept and improved UI keep it from total failure, but it falls well short of Shogun 2.
