Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World

A fun side-scrolling action-adventure remake with likeable characters, good maze-like level design, a decent challenge, and an appealing Ghibli-flavored visual style backed by an enjoyable soundtrack. Held back by the lack of an in-level map, a manual-only save system with no autosave, and inconsistent music tone. The digital edition feels pricey for its roughly six-hour length, so the physical version or a sale is the better buy.
