Homeworld 3

A visually gorgeous RTS follow-up undone by deep design and functionality problems. The audio and visuals are the strongest part, but ship behaviors are buggy and inconsistent, the roster looks uniform, the campaign is cramped and rushed, and the touted War Games mode is underbaked. The story is singled out as shockingly bad, leaving it impossible to recommend.

A disappointing follow-up that fails to recapture the magic of the original. The campaign is dragged down by a drab story and cutscenes that rip control away and force you out of missions before you can collect resources, while the skirmish mode offers too few, too-small maps and devolves into throwing big fleets at each other with little real tactics. It looks stunning and sounds great, and it can be fun, but it falls short for the price and for series fans.
