Our analysis

Just Cause 3 is essentially Just Cause 2 with new toys. Blowing things up is really fun in short doses, but frame rate drops on both consoles, shallow depth and map-icon busywork make it less fun than Just Cause 2. Worth it on a sale.

Our analysis

A massive open-world sandbox built entirely around chaotic destruction, where the grappling hook, wingsuit, and tethering tools deliver genuinely fun mayhem. The story is weak, performance is unoptimized with frequent crashes, and the best gadgets are locked behind tedious side missions. Despite all that it is enjoyable enough to keep coming back to, earning a buy.

Our analysis

A thrilling sandbox of destruction whose standout traversal—grappling hook, parachute, and wingsuit—makes simply moving through the huge world endlessly fun. The chaotic combat and inventive challenge missions shine, but repetitive liberation objectives overstay their welcome, vehicle controls are poor, and the story is forgettable. A recommendable romp for players who love causing mayhem.

    Our analysis

A worthy continuation of the wanton-destruction sandbox formula, delivering exactly the explosive freedom of mobility fans want, with the parachute, grappling hook, wingsuit, and tether mechanics enabling chaotic fun. The plot is a thin, forgettable crust over the hedonism, ground vehicles feel useless, and the game runs out of steam toward the end with a sparse final island and an anticlimactic boss fight, plus PS4 frame-rate chugs and crashes.
