Pikmin 3

A surprisingly enjoyable real-time strategy game with a charming look and clever mechanics, including the daily loss of resources that adds tangible urgency. The controls are a major frustration, however, as the analog-stick cursor keeps misselecting and the Wii U touchscreen's potential goes unused, while wrangling the Pikmin and managing followers is fiddly. The thin story loses direction near the end, but the experience proved better than first expected.
