Risen 2: Dark Waters

Our analysis

A merely average RPG that squanders its pirate theme, landing a four out of ten. The early game is brutally difficult and grindy, leveling demands huge amounts of scarce gold, and the dumbed-down one-button combat strips out the magic system. Worst of all, you never actually sail or pilot a ship, leaving you feeling like a landlubber teleporting from island to island rather than a pirate.
