Shadow Warrior 2

A frantic, gory first-person shooter with the best melee combat in its class, satisfying procedural dismemberment, a deep loot and weapon system, and four-player co-op. The Diablo-style randomness, mobility, and color palette make it endlessly replayable. It can feel unfocused at times, with the hub world and procedural generation occasionally at odds, but the kinetic fun earns a strong recommendation.

Less a classic shooter and more like Diablo with guns, this is a fluid, satisfying action game where melee swordplay and gunplay both feel great. The fast, tight combat is its biggest strength, but it's held down by an unintuitive, messy loot system that buries cool weapon mods under junk and a mostly cringeworthy story with an annoying companion. Still earns a strong recommendation thanks to gameplay, and would be even better if the loot interface were ever overhauled.

A very good, if not amazing, fast-paced first-person shooter carried by genuinely excellent, fun combat and the hilarious wit of protagonist Lo Wang. Its deep weapon roster of 70 armaments with three-tier augments, elemental damage to exploit enemy weaknesses, and simple satisfying melee combos give it real strategic depth. It runs like a dream and is well worth the budget price, offering strong value through its story, side quests, and four-player co-op.
