Shadow Warrior 3

A soulless, disappointing follow-up that strips away the co-op, deep weapon variety, and genuine humor that made the first two games great. Reduced to a short, on-rails loop of parkour traversal between arenas of spawning enemies, it plays like a watered-down Doom clone with unfunny writing and trivial difficulty. Overpriced and far too easy, it is hard to recommend to anyone, even Doom fans.

A short but action-packed first-person shooter with satisfying, wavy gunplay and fun, speed-focused platforming using a grappling hook, air dashes, and wall runs, plus a rewarding finisher-and-special-weapon strategy and good enemy variety. The combat and movement shine across its roughly six-hour runtime. The paper-thin story, unfunny jokes, an annoying protagonist, and a muddle of Eastern Asian stereotypes hold it back.
