A faithful, great-looking remaster of two ambitious, brilliantly paced RPGs whose themes of war, oppression and unity still feel timely, with sharper visuals, cleaned-up localizations and welcome quality-of-life additions like combat speed-up and auto-battle. Some baffling choices linger, including poorly implemented autosave, no shared inventory in the first game, and minor performance hiccups in the second. Even so, these remain among the best turn-based RPGs ever made and well worth playing.
