Our analysis
Mack calls The Evil Within hideous: poor-looking graphics with limited options at $34.99, a disjointed story, clunky controls and puzzles, and no scares. He can't think of anything good to say and would not play it again.

WatchOur analysis
The Evil Within presents a beautiful but ultimately janky game with an identity crisis between survival horror and action, featuring unpolished controls, weak character development, and a story that fails to deliver on its massive hype despite some genuinely cool concepts like the STEM system.
