Our analysis

A solid 7/10 and a clear improvement over the first game, layering RPG elements, careers, and a deep crafting and gear system onto satisfying, skill-based Left 4 Dead-style melee combat that feels great. It looks stunning and the soundtrack is excellent. It is dragged down by frequent crashes and bugs, frustrating AI spawning, a poorly tuned matchmaking gear-score gate, near-nonexistent cosmetic drops, and an anticlimactic lack of any real ending.
