World War Z

Solid horde-based shooter with good graphics and well-designed zombie hordes. Nice level variety.

A dumbed-down, lesser version of Left 4 Dead. The chaotic horde moments where masses of zombies swarm an area look genuinely awesome and atmospheric, but the special infected are trash with no sense of dread, every mission feels the same (do errands, then defend), and the multiplayer can be near-empty. Hugely disappointing given how amazing it could have been.

A decent third-person zombie horde co-op title that leans heavily on the Left 4 Dead and Killing Floor formula while doing little that's unique. The custom Swarm engine drives genuinely frantic 500-zombie standoffs and the lack of predatory monetization plus a reasonable price help its case, but repetitive search-and-defend level design, shallow customization, and poor PvP hit registration leave it with real replayability concerns.

Decent zombie shooter port on Switch.
