Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

Fun adventure with good exploration and puzzles despite some AI issues.

Excellent story but poor stealth and dumbed-down puzzles.

A wonderful love letter to the films, full of attention to detail, strong voice work, and immersive touches like physical maps held in Indy's hands. Open-world-light sandboxes such as the Vatican and Giza offer multiple routes, and the stealth-and-fisticuffs combat is a slapstick delight where almost anything can be a weapon, with the whip excelling at both disarming foes and traversal. The main letdown is the overused light-beam tomb puzzles, but it's shaping up to be something special.

The quintessential Indiana Jones game — captures look, sound, spirit with riveting story, unexpected focus on stealth and freeform exploration. Fast and loose improvisational style. Not as accomplished as MachineGames Wolfenstein but a frequent delight.

Nintendo Life calls it a superb globe-trotting adventure with compelling exploration, crunchy melee, and tomb-raiding puzzles. Great story, sky-high production value, capable lead in Troy Baker. Switch 2 port holds up admirably. 8/10.
