8 of 8Co-op shooter with solid graphics and verticality but limited compared to full entries. Open blocks not open-world.
Wolfenstein Youngblood Is The Second Worst Game I've Played This Year is a positive game with interesting mechanics and well-crafted systems.
A huge disappointment that buries the series' signature fast, fluid gunplay under ill-fitting RPG systems. Enemy health bars, leveled foes that can one-shot you, and ammo-type matching constantly interrupt the action, while tiny respawning shoebox levels, forced repeated missions, an undisableable objective marker, and punishing 15-minute checkpoints grind it down. It looks and sounds nice and feels great in rare moments, but overall it's a tedious mess.
Forced co-op design, broken AI, terrible microtransactions, and uninspired gameplay make this a cash grab failure.
Fun co-op shooter but weaker narrative than predecessors.
Co-op focus guts the franchise; unlikable heroes, lazy story, repetitive bullet-sponge enemies, hostile lives system.
Before You Buy: enjoyable co-op shooter with vertical level design; RPG grind undermines core experience.
