Mass Effect: Andromeda

A decent game that ultimately marks a step backward from the original trilogy, hampered by familiar world-building that fails to embrace its blank-slate Andromeda premise, a forgettable story, a juvenile crew, and a gutted dialogue system that strips away player agency. The core campaign missions and genuinely excellent, mobile combat shine, but a stingy skill-and-crafting economy forces players into inferior open-world grinding, and rushed-feeling polish (notably the facial animations) drags it down. Designed by committee with too many bloated systems.
