Ys X: Nordics

Our analysis

A fun, enjoyable action RPG for fans of the genre, anchored by excellent characters and a satisfying combat system built around the dual-protagonist Mana link, parrying, and break gauges. The hoverboard and varied movement options stand out, but level design feels too linear, the ship-based combat is clunky, and the new engine's environments and performance look dated for a premium price.
