A buy and one of the closest true sequels in the series, carried by a standout story following Shay Patrick Cormac as he switches from Assassin to Templar. Graphics match Black Flag with a more interesting icy-and-tropical mix, and returning ship combat and crafting remain highlights while the Assassins now hunting you adds genuine tension. Held back by relentlessly ill-timed tutorials and a throwaway modern-day framing story.
