A colorful, over-the-top Dynasty Warriors-style action game that fuses the engine with Dragon Quest's beloved monster designs, charming presentation, and a defensive, Tower Defense-flavored twist via monster coins that keeps battles dynamic. The combat's push-pull and tension-attack system cleverly hide otherwise terrible enemy AI, though characters don't differentiate enough, the recycled music feels lazy, and arbitrary menu pauses grate over time. Despite shallowness and repetition, it's a genuine blast and an enjoyable entry point to the Dragon Quest world.
