9 of 9Strong narrative and exploration from 2024-2025 updates. Burning Springs expansion is the largest yet.
Moderate DLC with good environmental storytelling but short main quest padded with repetitive content.
A festering, lazy cash-in on the Fallout name with no story, no role-playing, and only fetch quests and looting. Combat is broken and janky, the VATS system fails in real time, enemies are bullet-sponges, and base-building is pointless because bases vanish or can't be redeployed. Punishing inventory limits, near-empty servers, and useless PvP make it an indefensible full-price release.
Fallout 76 is a dishonest, buggy, incomplete asset flip deliberately designed to deceive consumers, representing a low point for Bethesda Game Stud...
After six years of continuous updates, this has been turned around into a genuinely good game, with one of the best open worlds the series has seen, added NPCs and quests, and the strong new Atlantic City and Skyline Valley content. It still carries launch-era flaws: dumb enemies, shallow shared-world quest design, and intrusive live-service microtransactions that clash with the franchise. Best enjoyed at a discount rather than full price.
Explicitly rated 3.5/10 - calls it 'a bad game right now' and 'fully undeserving of its price tag'. Criticizes broken PvP system ('absolute dog shit'), pervasive bugs, and premature launch. Social co-op is only redeeming factor; game needs months of patches before consideration.
ZP: watered-down single-player RPG trapped with multiplayer design.
Hollow game lacking fundamental appeal with embarrassing technical problems and bewildering design decisions. Desperately lacks motivation to keep playing.
