Our analysis
A refined improvement on almost everything that made the original great, blending Advance Wars-style tank combat with JRPG crew-relationship systems and a strong, poignant story. The new empathy-and-resolution leadership system adds real weight to decisions, while combat and presentation feel excellent. It remains fairly linear with a fiddly affinity-checking menu and recycled assets, but it is a fun, worthwhile sequel.
