A stellar enhanced re-release that adds a full-length alternate Canon of Vengeance storyline centered on the new character Yoko, alongside quality-of-life upgrades like save-anywhere, grind rails, and the Demon Haunt relationship system. The already-excellent press-turn combat and demon fusion remain compelling, making it the definitive version. The main letdown is that Switch performance still hasn't improved, with a 30fps cap, asset pop-in, and fuzzy resolution.

A fantastic definitive edition that is objectively better than the 2021 original thanks to quality-of-life additions like anytime saving, demon bonding, and fast-travel rails, plus a compelling new Vengeance storyline. The turn-based combat, demon negotiation and fusion, and beautiful dystopian world make it one of the best RPGs on Switch. The silent protagonist and unfixed object popping are blemishes, and returning players must weigh effectively buying the game twice.
